Salted Chocolate Dipped Orange Slices

This recipe is one of the appetizers we'll be serving at our Open House on July 6th! All the ingredients are available at Brook Village Grocery.

  • 3 small oranges

  • 1/2 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • Sea salt

  • 1 tsp butter

1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

2. Peel and separate your oranges: slice off the top and bottom of an orange. Cut a vertical line from the top to the bottom of the orange through to the center of the orange, so that its still intact. Open the orange from this cut like a book until the peel is flat on the table or counter; remove the segments.

3. In a microwave safe bowl or with the help of a double boiler, melt the chocolate and butter, stirring to combine.

4. dip each orange segment halfway into the melted chocolate and place on prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt and repeat until all orange segments are covered.

5. Refrigerate until chocolate sets, about 10 min.
